Please go through the following instructions before filing the application form for enrolment as an advocate. Fill up the form correctly. Don't cut across the line. Write YES or NO’, where ever necessary and ‘NA’ which is not applicable on the application form. Application forms found incomplete or incorrectly filled up or not accompanied by the requisites fees and documents are liable to be rejected. Application forms can be obtained from the counter on payment of Rs.2000/- either in shape of demand draft drawn in favour of Secretary, Odisha State Bar Council in any Nationalised Bank payable at Cuttack or by Challan through the Union Bank of India, Odisha State Bar Council Branch only.

Application forms can also be obtained through Regd. Post on payment of Rs.2100/- in shape of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Secretary, Odisha State Bar Council in any Nationalised Bank payable at Cuttack.

CERTIFICATES/DOCUMENTS

Original and attested Xerox copy of each of the following certificates:- Matriculation, Mark Sheet of the Degree (BA./B.Sc./B.Com.) Mark Sheet of +2 course in case of 5 yrs LL.B. Degree, Original or Provisional LL.B and Conduct Certificate from Law College, Relieve Order of the Superannuation /Termination of Services etc. (if you were in service) and permission letter for higher studies, if during the service period, Cast Certificate in case of S.C./S.T. candidates and two nos. of current passport size photographs with advocate robe duly attested which will be legible. Money receipt & self Addressed Regd. Post stamped Envelope of size 10"X 4" should be attached.

Fees Structure:-

(Fees payable in shape of Bank Draft in any Nationalised Bank payable at Cuttack /Challan through Union Bank of India, OSBC Branch in the premises of Odisha State Bar Council.)

1. Enrolment Fee (Processing Fees): Rs.12,000/-(Rs.9,600/- in case of S.C./S.T. Candidate) Bank Draft in favour of "SECRETARY, ODISHA STATE BAR COUNCIL" payable at Cuttack in any Nationalised Bank/Challan through Union Bank of India, OSBC Branch in the premises of Odisha State Bar Council..

2. Enrolment Fees of Bar Council of India:- Rs.1200/- (Rs.600/- in case of S.C./S.T. Candidate) Bank Draft in favour of "BAR COUNCIL OF INDIA" payable at Cuttack in any Nationalised Bank.

FEES FOR "ADVOCATES' WELFARE-CUM-DEATH BENEFIT SCHEME FUND, ODISHA STATE BAR COUNCIL."

3.​ Rs.10,000/- if your age is within 25 years on the date of application for Enrolment. 

or

Rs.12,000/-if your age is within 25 to 30 years on the date of application for Enrolment.

or

Rs.13,500/- if your age is within 30 to 35 years on the date of application for Enrolment. 

or 

Rs.15,000/- if your age is within 35 to 40 years on the date of application for Enrolment. 

or

Rs.17,000/- if your age is within 40 to 45 years on the date of application for Enrolment.

 

(Bank Draft in favour of "ADVOCATES' WELFARE-CUM-DEATH BENEFIT SCHEME FUND, ODISHA STATE BAR COUNCIL" payable at Cuttack in any Nationalised Bank/Challan through Union Bank of India, OSBC Branch in the premises of Odisha State Bar Council.)

Note:- In “Advocates' Welfare-Cum-Death Benefit Scheme Fund” the Nominee of the Deceased Advocate will get Rs.1,00,000/-(Rupees One Lakh) Death Benefit on the death of the Member Advocate.

4. Rs.5000/- Bank Draft in favour of "ADVOCATES' WELFARE FUND OF ODISHA STATE BAR COUNCIL" payable at Cuttack in any Nationalised Bank/Challan through Union Bank of India, OSBC Branch in the premises of Odisha State Bar Council.

Note:- Financial  Assistance shall be provided to the advocates suffering from diseases except general diseases like Diabetic, Hypertension, Blood Pressure, Delivery, Organise Seminar, Madhu Jayatni etc. out of the "ADVOCATES' WELFARE FUND OF ODISHA STATE BAR COUNCIL"

5. Rs.5000/- Bank Draft in favour of "ODISHA STATE BAR COUNCIL, ADVOCATES WELFARE CORPUS FUND" payable at Cuttack in any Nationalised Bank/Challan through Union Bank of India, OSBC Branch in the premises of Odisha State Bar Council.

Note: Financial Assistance shall be provided to the Bar Associations, Madhusudan Law Library, Installation of Madhusudan Das Statue at Bar Premises & other assistance shall be provided as per Odisha State Bar Council Advocates’ Welfare Corpus Fund Rules, 2020.

6. Rs.3600/- Bank Draft in favour of "ADVOCATES' WELFARE FUND OF BAR COUNCIL OF INDIA FOR THE STATE OF ODISHA” payable at Cuttack in any Nationalised Bank/Challan through Union Bank of India, OSBC Branch in the premises of Odisha State Bar Council.

Note: This fund is statutory fees of Bar Council of India and utilised for the welfare of the Advocates (Financial Assistance extends to the needy/indigent advocate on medical ground)  

7. Rs.3300/- Bank Draft in favour of "ADVOCATES WELFARE FUND TRUST" payable at Cuttack in any Nationalised Bank/Challan through Union Bank of India, OSBC Branch in the premises of Odisha State Bar Council.

Note:- A sum of Rs.15000/- per year from the date of Membership in the fund shall be provided maximum for period of 30years of membership after the l age of 60 on suspending the  licence. 

Submission of application form 

Application form complete in all respect can be submitted in the Office counter on any working days between 11.00.a.m. to 3.00.p.m. & from 10.00.a.m. to 1.00.p.m. during morning office. The original certificate documents shall be returned after verification. Enrolment Form is valid for one year from the date of issue.
